How to Install hoekk and Connect Gmail

hoekk is an AI email assistant for rental hunters in the Netherlands. It writes personalized, native-Dutch inquiry emails and sends them from your own Gmail when you swipe right on a listing. Available now on the App Store.

Step 1 — Install the app

Tap this link on your iPhone: Download hoekk on the App Store.

The App Store will open. Tap Get to install — hoekk will appear on your home screen.

Step 2 — Sign up

Open hoekk. Create an account with your email and a password. Fill out the short profile questions — this is what the app uses to personalize inquiry emails for you.

Step 3 — Connect Gmail

In the app, go to Profile → Connect Gmail.

Step 4 — You'll see a scary warning. Don't panic.

Google will show you a screen that says:

“Google hasn't verified this app”

This is normal. hoekk is waiting for Google's verification review, which takes a few weeks. Your Gmail is 100% safe — hoekk only uses it to send rental inquiry emails when you swipe right. It never reads your inbox.

How to get past the warning:

  1. Tap Advanced (bottom left of the warning screen)
  2. Tap Go to hoekk (unsafe)
  3. Tap Continue
  4. Check both permission boxes
  5. Tap Continue again

Gmail is now connected. Start swiping — when you swipe right on a listing, hoekk will generate and send a personalized inquiry email from your Gmail within seconds.
